Obama was born in 1961. At the time Saddam Hussein had been a member of the Ba’ath party for about 4 years and he was a law school dropout supporting himself by teaching secondary school. Granted, he had been involved in some sketchy back-room dealings with our government, but that's neither here nor there.
I think I would probably be more concerned if Mr. and Mrs. Obama refused to name their son Hussein because they had magically known that a 24 year old, politically active high school teacher in Iraq was going to turn into a dictator much later who prompted U.S. military involvement in two separate wars.
I know this entire post will be deleted, but seriously - harping on his name is like me saying George W Bush is just like King George III.
