We are a small student organization with the University of Cincinnati of Doctorate of Audiology students. We are devoted to providing treatment and communication solutions to individals with hearing loss. The annual 5k is our largest fundraiser of the year. The money we raise is used to continue community education, outreach and advocacy for individuals with hearing loss. The money is also used to purchase hearing aids for those under-served in rural Kentucky, Mexico, and Jamaica. I’m writing to ask you to donate to our race to help us raise more money. Being an organization tightly tied to Cincinnati, we are reaching out to you to continue our support of the community.
Join us for a lovely scenic 5k run/walk route, raffle baskets and learn about audiology and hearing loss!

Ligorio Loonie added a topic in Neighborhood newsSOLD: The Village Troubadour 8/23/17From my heart to all of you.
It's difficult to make a decision that effects so many yet has to be made primarily with your own best interest in mind. I began the Village Troubadour as a dream of a community gathering place for everyone where good coffee, food and music could be enjoyed in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. That dream has definitely come true. I know of no other place quite like it and it has been a great joy to be part of it. Along the way I encountered major obstacles both financially, physically and spiritually that seemed insurmountable at times. In fact, I had never experienced such relentless challenge and pressure before. Remember, I spent over 11 years ministering and living in tough places overseas so I understand difficulty. For nearly 4 years now it has been like a 24/7, 365 day a year job without real rest.
In any case, I believe it has come time to "Let go" and move on to whatever the Lord has for me next. Joyce has stood by me like a soldier and been a nurse, cook, bookkeeper, encourager, confidant and truth-teller through it all.
We have decided to sell the business to a very capable and accomplished restaurant man, Greenhills resident, Kevin Foster. He has great credentials as restaurant owner-operator and has been at it nearly his whole life. He and his wife Wendy bring a lot to the plate, pun intended. I believe the Fosters can take the Troubadour to the next level.
As of Wednesday August 23rd I will sign the deal that makes the Fosters the new owners of the Village Troubadour. Joyce and I will enthusiastically move on to the next challenge that awaits us, and I always make sure it is insanely interesting.
I thank you all for making the past 2 1/2 years since we opened very special and rewarding to me and Joyce as well. It's been my pleasure to have probably met 15 to 20 thousand new people and that's what I love most, making new friends. Joyce and I won't forget you and hope to see many of you at the restaurant from time to time. I know this comes as a shock to some of you but I feel you can understand. Sorry for the short notice, but we had a lot of things to accomplish and deadlines to meet in the process.
Joyce and myself along with Adam, Amy and Andrea moved to Cincinnati thirty one years ago in August and to Greenhills 27 years ago in August, (1990, the year the Reds won it all). This August we move on to new things that we are sure will be good.
God bless and keep you all,
